About usINTERANDES was founded 1979 in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, as an independent engineering, planning and consulting company, focusing in the transfer of technological, financial and human resources between industrialized countries (specially Switzerland) and developing countries (specially in the andean region in South America).
The fields of work encompass the realisation of rural development projects of the type "technical assistance", in the mountain and forest regions of Peru, financed since 1983 mainly by municipalities and cantons of Switzerland and the International Technical Cooperation. Swiss companies also contracted the services of INTERANDES to carry out market studies for the introduction of capital goods for agriculture (machines and equipment) and alternative energy supply (photovoltaic systems).
In the year 1990 the INTERANDES was honored with the "Development Award" from the parliament of the canton Schaffhausen for its work in the substitution of coca leaves crops in the peruvian forest regions.
Our officesThe INTERANDES keeps an own office in Lima, Peru with permanent contact to its peruvian counterpart Andestudio, founded also in 1979. Andestudio as an independent engineering company could fulfill important engineering contracts together with INTERANDES.
The main office in Schaffhausen, Switzerland maintains contact to the development agencies and private institutions in Europe and keeps track of the technological developments and market trends. It works together and coordinates with the peruvian office the formulation and promotion of development projects.
